I made this for the Potluck Challenge on stamptv. The challenge was to create a soft, girly card. As an extra bonus, to use a purple ribbon on the card & send the card to Somer Thompson's mom. Somer's favorite color was purple. This was such a tough challenge!!! The purple ribbon really matches Perfect Plum much better than in the picture.

I love Kraft cardstock. I don't know why I don't use it very often. I especially like white ink on Kraft cardstock. I am working on a project that I need 60 thank you cards. They don't all have to be alike, but I will need them pretty quickly. I am trying to play around with several winter type cards that I can mass produce & not go broke trying to make 60 of them.

Personal Photos

I have a stamped card to share, but for some reason it won't let me post it. I hope that it will let me post this. I will post the card in the morning... hopefully. And in the meantime, here's a peak into my day today.

My hubby came in this afternoon & asked if we wanted to go for a drive to see the fall foliage. The peak is supposed to be this week/weekend.

My boys were thrilled to climb on the rocks & pose. My oldest isn't really that much taller than my youngest, but at the last second, he got up on a rock a little higher.

We took a couple of trails around Chickasaw National Park & we saw this beauty. She let us take lots of pictures. She was very patient with us. And she wasn't scared when we kept inching closer.

The last picture is one of the many pictures I took of the colors of the leaves.

It's time for another Friday Sketch I am the kind of gal who likes everything straight, so this sketch was a little bit of a challenge. I kept trying to straighten it! LOL!! But, I think it's good for me to have to work outside of my normal comfort zone... sometimes!! The colors look much better in person. The orange is Melon Berry from PTI & it has a pink tone to it that doesn't show up in the picture. I need to get another light or get the card finished early enough to take advantage of the outside lighting.

Reindeer Poop

The technique challenge on stamptv was to make a treat holder. I looked in our town for some kind of candy that could be used... of course, we only have one little, tiny grocery store. There weren't any nuggets, no peppermint patties, no gum drops... I did find several bags of Easter peanut M&Ms... ewwww!!! I decided to go with Milk Duds & make reindeer poop. My 7 year old son that it was great!!! LOL!!! He cracked up about it for several hours!!!

Glitzy Sweet Peas

There is a sparkly challenge over at the Flourishes Blog. It was perfect for this card. A friend of mine has a birthday this week. Her favorite color is any color as long as it is PINK!!! LOL!!!! And she loves ribbon and pearls and texture. You can't tell, but I colored over the top of the sweet peas with a clear atyou Spica glittery pen. It is really glitzy in the light.

I made this for a new challenge... Just Us Girls...
I just found out about them this morning. The challenge was to do some kind of paper piercing & use pink. I like to keep a baby card on hand for a girl & a boy. I recently mailed out my pink card, so this was a great opportunity to make a pink card for my stash.

Timeless Tuesday Challenge

This week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge is in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. We were to use pink on our cards. This is something that is near & dear to my heart. The Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge for this week was to show the earth rejoicing. I think the colors of fall show that quite well. Isn't it amazing how vibrant the colors seem during the fall!! We have had quite a bit of rain recently & the colors are gorgeous!! Can you imagine not being able to see all of these colors? Thank you Lord for the gift of sight! Tropical Windows

I made this for the color challenge on stamptv-- pink & blue. I finally decided to use navy for my blue. The stamp is from the set Tropical Windows. I only inked up the flower inside the window & not the whole thing. I used my Pretty in Pink marker & colored on the stamp. Added some navy brads, the dp. I haven't used this color combo in awhile.
