I have a confession to make... I. HATE. purple! When I read Gina's challenge that we had to use 2 of her new colors I almost groaned outload! You see my relationship with purple is bittersweet. It was my Gran's color. I made cards for her every year & they were all purple. After she died, I haven't used purple very much. In fact, when I saw the purple that Gina released I didn't order it... after all I'm not going to need it. (just keepin' it real! *wink* ) I remembered that a card kit came with the Spring Florals set that I ordered... big sigh of relief that it had the Vibrant Violet & the Lovely Lavender in it. But, there was only enough for 3 cards... so I have been super careful with the cardstock, trying to make sure I cut correctly, etc. I wanted to put a punch on this card & realized that I only have one piece of Vibrant Violet left. So, I punched from the Vibrant Violet base panel, you can't even see that there is a punch hole in it & I have one panel left to use on another card.
You might want to make sure that you don't have anything in your mouth as you read this next part... *sigh* These two purples are very pretty... the Lovely Lavender is the prettiest lavender I have seen... I WILL be placing an order this weekend while Gina is having her sale & I will be adding the two purples. (you can quit laughing now! :) )
I paired this up with the Stamp Simply Challenge- With Sympathy. I will put this in my card stash to have for the next time I need a sympathy card.

C4C25 & CCEE1007
It was a sketch challenge over at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. I've paired it up with the CCEE1007 challenge to make it Saaaaa-WEEEET! (The blue cardstock & the blue cupcake paper are way off, it's more of a seafoam green, like in the dp. I have looked for different lightbulbs, some natural light bulbs & in my little dinky town there isn't any options. The cashier at one of the stores told me that they've only had the energy efficient bulbs for a few months. I will look tomorrow when we go to church & see if I can find some in "the big" city! )

Pink Gerbera Daisies
A friend called me while she was standing in a hospital gift shop. She started off the conversation by asking me if I still stamped. (just a little! *wink* ) Then she wants to know if I have a stamp with flowers in a vase. She went on to describe a card to me & wanted to know if I could make it. I have such a hard time visualizing stuff... I have no idea if this card is even close to the one she saw, but it is my interpretation of it.

Geraniums
These geraniums look like one of my plants. I have managed to keep it alive this winter. It even bloomed in my dining room. It's the only one that bloomed inside. (the cardstock matches the dp, but I can't get my lighting right. l'll take another picture tomorrow in the natural light. )

Timeless Tuesday #54 It's All About Me
When I saw today's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, I decided to use the asters from the Calendar set 3. I haven't used these yet. I have a love/hate relationship with these Asters.
A lady I worked with in my first job after college, had beautiful Mexican Asters in her yard. She would bring in bouquets weekly for months. She shared some of her seeds with me. I followed her directions to a "T" & my plants didn't do anything. She gave me seeds every year for the 4 years I worked with her & they NEVER did grow for me. Hers seemed to do better each year. *sigh*
I've got all kinds of seeds planted & plants ready to go into pots, I might see if I can find some Mexican Aster seeds & try my hand at them again. At least with this stamp, I can create a beautiful bouquet even if I can't grow them! *wink*

This week's CCEE challenge is an inspiration challenge. I chose this photo as my inspiration. I discovered I don't have a copic that matches Ruby Red cardstock. That is now on my to buy next list. I had to use a blender pen & my Ruby Red ink pad. I haven't done that in forever!!!

FTTC52F Favorite Flourishes
For the 6th Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge, we were encouraged to use our Favorite Flourish sets/stamps. It wasn't a difficult decision for me, I knew that I would use the tulip from the Thank You set.
I worked on this yesterday & before I had it finished, jokingly asked my hubby when he was going to work on our taxes. Normally, I'm the one who does them. I was shocked when he said, "Where's the stuff?" I decided my card could wait, while I helped him get all of the info together. Our taxes have been e-filed! WOO HOO!!! Thanks hubby! :D Maybe this weekend I can get the other 3 Anniversary Challenges completed.
The free editing program that I am using is called PhotoScape.

STVCCSB10 Daisy in Sage
This week's color challenge over at stamptv is sage, yellow & black. As soon as I read that, my favorite daisy came to mind. I do like the way this turned out. It looks completely different than the other cards I have made with it. Have I told you how much I {heart} this daisy! :)
The flower seeds that I planted a week & a half ago have already peeked out of the dirt. My boys are so excited! They keep wanting to take the plastic cover off of the little greenhouse. I have to remind them that it's like opening the oven door or taking the lid off of the crockpot. You just can't do that. I can't wait until we can plant them in pots.
