CAS494 Thinking of You

This week's CAS challenge on SCS is "Things with Wings".  I decided to pull out this dragonfly from Inkadinado & use some Tim Holtz Distress inks. They are addictive!  I haven't found a list of matching cardstock, so I'll just be pairing them with neutral colors for now.

Today, I combined Lee's DTGD challenge, with the Ways to Use it challenge on SCS~ Beach Party & the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge ~` Stitching, Real or Faux

Y'all... I have made 37 different cards in 6 days!!! That's amazing for me right now.  There's one more day of DTGD & then it might take me 6 days to clean up my area.

DTGD & Power Poppy Creative Confetti

Power Poppy has a new challenge this month called "Creative Confetti".  The theme this month is your birthstone.  Can I be honest.... I absolutely HATE my birthstone... amethyst. We even lived in Zambia, Africa where it was very common!!!    I am not a purple fan on any level, but it was my Gran's favorite color so it reminds me of her.    I took 2 different Tim Holtz colors & combined them to create the background.  I combined it with Ceal's Dare to Get Dirty on SCS.

DTGD & The Paper Players

I combined 2 challenges for this card... Vicki's DTGD challenge on SCS & the current Paper Players Challenge ~ Humorous ~  I've been playing along with the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges & every day my 16 year old asks me if I finished all of the cards.  He's been helpful with his opinions & tonight when he saw this card, he even smirked!!!  Total win in my book!!!

DTGD & CAS Sunflower

Today started the first day of Dare to Get Dirty (DTGD) over on SCS.  I combined Dina's challenge with the August CAS Watercolor Challenge ~ Sunlowers~

I have been a little intimidated when it comes to watercolors.  So many opinions on what brands, price point, etc.  I bought a very cheap set of watercolors & a package of brushes that was a variety of sizes.  I'm thinking I'll be watching some how to videos on Youtube!!
