HMFMC #368 Mid Way Reminder Anything Goes Option Strips or Scraps

 

The happy birthday scrap of designer paper, the little piece of red & the embossed panel all came from my scrap bag.  My scrap bag is still overflowing, but it was nice to get a few pieces out of it!   I added some Wink of Stella glitter pen on the frosting.  I added a little bit of glossy accents on the flame of the candle.  There is still another week for the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  I hope you'll join us.

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

Today is my final day for Growing in Unity!  This week has flown by.  I used the stamp “A Daisy & a Little Lady” (it’s on sale right now if you like it & don’t have it.) The sentiment came from the “Hope, Pray & Strength” stamp set.

Growing in Unity Day 4

 

Can you believe it’s already day 4??!!  

For today’s card, I used Unity’s Beautiful Like That stamp set.  I’m starting to see sunflowers around here standing tall!  I combined this with Jeanette’s water VSN challenge on Splitcoaststampers 

Today is National Hydration Day, so make sure you & your plants stay hydrated!  It’s gonna be a bit warm here in Dallas, 100*.

My card today uses the Winnie the Pooh Sweet Smiles set  I combined it with Lisa’s VSN challenge- Indy 500 Parade 

I colored the image with Copics & added a little bit of Glossy Accents on the honey.

Unity Stamp Co Growing in Unity

 

I'm the Growing in Unity person this week!  I used the stamp "Stick Together" from Unity Stamp Co.  I'm also submitting this in the Virtual Stamp Night Challenge on Splitcoaststampers for Adriana's challenge-- Fruits & Veggies from a Farmer's Market.  When we moved to Texas & went to the Farmer's Market for the first time, I was surprised at how many Prickly Pear Cactus food products were available to buy.  Prickly Pear Cactus is the state plant of Texas.  Every part of the plant is edible.  So while it doesn't seem like this would fit Adriana's challenge, it does!
