Happy Friday!!!! I have something exciting to share!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to a creative new challenge blog!! We are diving into fun techniques and tutorials (and sometimes making a mess! lol) and then showing how we used our artsy results to make finished products! Sometimes cards but really any kind of papercrafting project!! Think bookmarks, tags, gift boxes, envelopes, journal pages, 3D items, etc! This idea hit me like a ton of bricks as I am getting into creating more art and mixed media and have a growing stash!!!
Lydia (Understandblue) has been a major influence on me in the creative world to broaden my little box of cardmaking and stepping into art!! I know she's inspired so many of you also! Hence the name of this blog, Beyond the Blue. Our inspiration takes us beyond into showing how to use those techniques to not let them stack up in our craft rooms!! And with Lydia's go-ahead, we will be showing her video tutorials often!! Along with other talented artists as well! So with their ok, we will use a specific technique/tutorial each week that we will link here and would LOVE for you all to play along with us!! We also will always have an "anything goes" aspect if you'd like to use a techniquey background or artsy piece you already have in your stash! Basically the focus of this challenge blog is to USE the amazing, wonderful art we create and make finished products!! We know how much sending a smile sure can mean now more than ever!!
This Challenge DT is made up of amazing and talented crafty friends who also love techniques and who also make beautiful cards, etc. that will hopefully inspire you like they do me! Their blogs will be linked on the sidebar so definitely check them out and follow them if you already aren't! So on that note we hope you all join us in this weekly challenge and create some finished products too with your artsy, creative techniques!!!
Go check it out HERE & play along with us!!!!
Congratulations on your new position and what looks to be a fun challenge blog with a lot of upcoming techniques to view. I need to be more creative with mixed media but rarely venture out into it. [Bunny]
