When I saw the Double D challenge theme was gingham, I knew I had to play. I found this gingham paper awhile ago & wanted to pair it up with these poppies that hadn't seen ink. I pulled up one of Jennifer Dove's copic combos to color these poppies & in the middle of my coloring, my copic needed refilling... the only problem... I don't have that refill!!!! Ugh!!! So I tried to save it, but it didn't end up looking very good, so I restarted. That's the great thing about it being paper, you can redo it!
Stamps: Poppy Trio Penny Black

copics, red grosgrain ribbon, wink of Stella glitter brush pen
Until next time!

Oh, Misti, I love gingham too, and what a beautiful card with the red poppies against the black and white gingham. What a great Day 2 for you. Hugs, sweet friend!
Black and white gingham is my favorite pattern too! Lovely poppies.

Hi, Misti! I'm so glad you played along with us at Double D in our Simply Gingham challenge. You know how I love flowers, and Penny Black is a favorite. The red poppies are perfect on black gingham. Love the contrast. Jennifer's Copic combos are so helpful. I need to pick out some for my next Copic order. Good to see you're doing the 30 Day Coloring Challenge, too!
Such a crisp and beautiful card. Love the layout and the colors, so very pretty. Thanks for sharing with us at Double "D" Challenges.
