I get asked my favorite color  & when I tell people what color it is, most of them tell me that "black isn't a color."  I really like black.  My house is decorated with lots of black -- people get a funny expression on their face at this point... I have black, white & pops of red throughout my house.  People's expression generally doesn't change, until I remind people that I grew up in Zamba, Africa & my black & white is lots of zebra stripes.  Then they will say something like "ohhhhhh, that makes sense."  (It really doesnt't have to make sense to you, I like it!  LOL )  Anyway... all of that to say, I made my card with blue.  *giggle*   Just in case you don't think black is a color, I went with blue for this week.  But fair warning, next week there will be some black!  *wink*

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

Cardz 4 Galz Fall

 

It’s time for a new theme at Cardz 4 Galz — Fall/Autumn.  I pulled out this Harvest Mouse from My Favorite Things.  We are having weather in the 80’s & 90’s, but change is coming next week.  I expect we’ll see more leaves turning colors, like the leaves on this card. We had weather in the 90's & then all of a sudden it is supposed to be a high of 60*!!!!  Whatttt??!!! CAS207 Hello

 This week’s CAS challenge at SCS is “cursive”.  I found a cursive sentiment & paired it with my Whipper Snapper Fox. It was in the 90’s today & doesn’t seem like fall weather. But these fall colors are helping me get in the mood! Lol

Midway reminder HMFMC

This is the midway reminder for the anything goes/ leaves House Mousse & Friends Monday Challenge.  

This stamp reminds me of one of my youngest son when he was little.  He didn’t like apples very much & would only take a tiny bite or two & then he would put it back in the fruit bowl!  Now, we can’t fill him up!!

Growing in Unity Day 5

 

Day 5... it’s my last day, this week has gone by fast!  I’m going to let you in on a secret... I don’t like pumpkin... not the color, not the taste, not in a dessert or a drink, but the black & white check that’s popular everywhere... be still my heart!! Lol 

I used Sunflower, Miss You Friend for today’s card.

Good morning!  I made 2 teacher cards with the Teach Love Inspire Itty Bitty stamp set.   I think teachers need a bit more encouragement right now!
