Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!  We love you!!!    Hope your day is a relaxing & special day.   The men at their church are grilling pork chops for all of the women.  The men in their church have been really good about cooking for Mother's Day.

I found this picture a few weeks ago & my boys were fascinated with it.  It was the top part of a prayer card that my parents handed out when they were on furlough.  I had already gone to college.
(Can you believe that N is the same age in this pic as Devin is right now or really close?????!)

FTTC123 Krafty Rose

I am so glad that Betty is allowing kraft cardstock on the challenge today. I dropped off the paper grocery sacks that I had at the recycle yesterday. So, today I go into our little grocery store & asked if they have any lunch sacks... nope, they only stock those with the school supplies in July & Aug. It was too hot... really, I was too lazy to drive to the next town over for sacks!

Stamps: Lenten Rose
C/S: Black, white, Red, Kraft
black gingham ribbon, black pearls, copics, Swirls Cuttlebug folder, stickles for the flower centers

Lenten Rose

I thought as things started slowing down with archery, life in general would slow down.... hahahaha... what was I thinkin'??!!! I finally, got a card stamped tonight.

It took me a little longer to put this together, because I found out my new blog header for my recipe blog was finished. It is beyond my expectations!!!!! Wanna see it? http://mistisrecipebox.blogspot.com/ My grandma had a white granitewear bowl with a red rim. She used it as her garbage bowl when she cooked. That thing was used every day & looked it too. Since I didn't get the bowl, I asked Jaimee if she would use it as an inspiration piece. I am over the moon pleased with how it turned out!!! If you ever need blog work done, I highly recommend Annie. Her email address is: anniejdesigns@gmail.com
