Etsy Inspired Rose

The Etsy Inspired shop this week is Jared in Kansas. The pictures are gorgeous. This is the one I choose: Pink Rain
I used it for my color inspiration. This card did not end up like I had planned. Not at all! LOL! I know I say that alot! I had a different layout in mind & it just didn't come together like I thought. I did pop the rose up using dimensionals.

My youngest is home with me today & when I showed him my card, he said, "Oh, I know who that is... it's Daffy Duck!" *roll eyes* I made a list of the challenges I would like to do today & there are only 10 challenges on the list. I combined 2 challenges for this card. For the Esty Inspired Challenge, I chose this pair of earrings as my color inspiration. The sketch is for the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

The sketch comes from Crazy4Challenges This is the 3rd week for them! The other challenge is the Etsy Inspired Challenge


For my inspiration, I used this geranium. With our cooler weather & rain... lots and lots of rain, my geraniums are in full bloom again.

I used R30, R32, R35 for the flowers, YG91, YG 93 for the leaves, E08, E09 for the clay pot. Cardstock is Ripe Avocado & Berry Sorbet from Papertrey. The ribbon is Ripe Avocado. The buttons are Berry Sorbet from Papertrey. Stamp is PSX Geranium.

Etsy Challenge

It's time for another Etsy Challenge I haven't been playing very long, but I found myself looking forward to this morning to see what I could create today. I knew as soon as I saw this piece that it would be my inspiration piece. It also gives me another chance to use the Eclectic Summer Kit from Gina K. at least one more time before I start using fall items. I really liked the rick rack effect on the piece & I knew I didn't have any yellow rick rack. So, I jumped in the car.... oh, wait a minute... I live in the sticks & I could jump in the car, but would have to drive too many miles to find yellow rick rack to make it practical. Scratch that & move to plan B... color the white rick rack that I had with my yellow Y21 copic marker. Voila!!! Yellow rick rack!! :D I ran both pieces of the black c/s through the Cuttlebug.

Etsy Challenge

Last night, I was chatting with my good friend Lee & she asked if I would be willing to make a card for her. It was for the Etsy Challenge. I looked through the specific etsy shop & chose this as my inspiration piece. It was amazing how quickly I was able to put this together. LOL!!! I am going to try to participate in the Etsy Challenges... I'm hoping that by writing it down for people to see that I will remember it & follow through! :D
