2017 was a year filled with bumps & dents. I know you can restart at any time, but there is such hope of a new beginning with the New Year. I have spent some time over the past few days coming up with my stamping goals for 2018 & THE main thing is to actually get cards in the mail. I have other goals, but getting cards in the mail on time is my mail goal. This card is going in the mail for a birthday for the first week of Jan. I may not get every card all year long in the mail on time, but I'm feeling excited about the first card!! LOL
There was no stamping on this one, the die is from Poppystamps
Yes... I'm still making Christmas cards. I know.... sigh!!! I have the greatest of intentions to get all of them mailed, I haven't gotten to the point where I'm just giving up. This is for the Dec Penny Black & More challenge.
Stamps: Penny Black
c/s: white, red, black
copics, Swiss Dots ef
On Dec 8, we received a tiny, tiny bit of snow.... only if you looked really closely & if you saw it before it was on the ground very long. It melted & didn't accumulate. The weather forecast is wonky for this next week... one day is supposed to be 73* & then Christmas Day looks like it might spit a little bit of snow.
At the beginning of 2017, I set a goal to use 52 different House Mouse stamps. (I have been collecting them for 20 years, so I have a few. *cough* *cough*) Now, as 2017 is coming to a close, I'm a little short of my goal. You may be seeing more House Mouse cards before the year ends!
I made this for 2 challenges: The VSN theme at SCS is "Game Night" Angie's theme was a game I had never heard of called "Masterpiece" She gave us 5 different masterpieces to get inspiration from. The one I chose was "Paris Street; Rainy Day by Gustave Caillebotte, 1877". You can upload until Dec 17th, so come play with us! I combined it with the current Color Throwdown
Stamps: Confetti Showers House Mouse
c/s: white, gray, black, red
Lee's VSN challenge is based on the game "Dungeons & Dragons." I wasn't sure I had anything that would fit & then I remembered a digi image from waaaaaaay back. Unfortunately, I don't even know what company this cutie is from.

I have soooooooooo many Power Poppy cards saved. The problem for this challenge wasn't finding a cad to CASE, it was narrowing down to which one to CASE. I decided on this card by Kathy. The original can be found HERE I combined it with this week's CAS challenge on SCS.

This week's Power Poppy Hues to Use is a beautiful color combo! One of the things I love about warmer weather is all of the flowers in bloom. One of my favorite things to do in the evening while the boys are practicing, is water my plants. We still have hummingbirds too! I thought it might be too warm for them, but they were still around last night.
Did you know that Power Poppy has a new-ish weekly challenge that is a color challenge called Hues to Use??? When I saw this week's colors I knew I HAD to play, it's Awash in Blues. This past week, while we were in Michigan, we went to Holland. While we were there, after putting our feet in Lake Michigan, we went to Nelis' Dutch Village. We were able to see lots of beautiful Delft Blue Pottery! It was gorgeous walking through looking at the pieces, even my boys were in awe!
I collect bell Christmas ornaments & had to buy one while I was there.

We've had a couple of major life things happen in our life recently & I thought for sure I'd be back into a nice, normal routine by now. hahahaha!!!! The current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge is ~ Think Pink. I had every intention of getting this card made for last Sat... National Donut Day, but it didn't happen, better late than never. Besides, any day is a good day for a donut! LOL

This week's CAS challenge is ~ Get Techy~ Using a camera was the only thing "techy" that I could find. I haven't used this image before, but I think it's so cute! I've been working on graduation cards & graduation thank you cards. I still need to upload some of them.

I'm baaack!!! Yikes! I knew it had been awhile since I blogged a card, but I didn't realize it had been so long. Life happened & you know how that goes. I made my list of cards I was going to need in the next month & nearly gasped when I realized it was over 30. So this morning when I saw the Allsorts challenge that was embossing, I decided I would get one of the cards crossed off of my list.
