Beyond the Blue #5

 

It’s time for the 5th Beyond the Blue challenge.  It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 weeks!  Wow! This challenge doesn’t use a gel plate, I’ve heard from several people telling me they didn’t have a gel plate. I’m also combining it with the As You Like it Challenge.  My favorite kind of card to send it is a “just because you came to mind” card  I’m getting better about sending birthday cards out on time, but a “just because” card is never late, even when the post office is delayed by weather or Covid or whatever...

Yesterday, Dylan & I braved Kroger to get a few more groceries.  Because there aren’t any Instacart or Walmart + delivery time slots until Saturday, lots of other people were there too.  While we were in line, I overheard two older guys talking & their conversation inspired my sentiment!  

I hear embossed the snowflakes in white embossing powder & used Faded Jeans distress ink over them.  

I’m loving these TH Snarky Cat stamps!!

Uniko Birthday Celebration

 Uniko is celebrating their 9th birthday!  When I first saw this daisy set I HAD to buy it.  I love Gerbera daisies. It has been packed away because of a move.  But I’m so glad to have it where I can use it again! 

Transvaal Daisy— we were on a trip to South Africa & my mom & I were shopping.  I had found an amazing pair of pants (which my mom hated!) & at a little flower shop I saw a metal bucket of white flowers with black centers & a chalkboard sign said “Transvaal Daisies”.  I loved them.  I didn’t realize they were Gerbera Daisies until I came back to the US for college.

 Ahhhhhh... I can close my eyes & imagine myself on a nice warm beach, looking out onto warm waters.    We are hearing crazy words in our weather report here in TX— words like “blizzard conditions” “plowable snow” “historic cold”.  Those words are words I feel like should NEVER be mentioned in the same sentence with Texas!!!!
