Mother's Day Dahlia

Can you believe it's less than a month away from Mother's Day? I really hope to have all of my cards made before May... it seems like we have a ton of birthdays in May.

I saw a orange-y dahlia the other day. This one looks a little more pink in the picture than it really does. I had to look for some seeds on ebay of a orange dahlia.

Stamps: Delightful Dahlia PTI

ribbon-- Melon Berry, circle nestabilies, copics, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug

Bread & Jam For Francis

It's been a few days since I posted, I've been working on getting flowers planted! :D
The Gina K. illustrators blog hop theme was to chose a favorite children's book & make a card using one of the new sets for this month to create a card. One of my favorite books as a kid was Bread & Jam for Francis. My Mom said I used to have a record that went with the book & I wore the record out. I used the colors from the book to create my card. The wisteria is in full bloom here. I snapped this picture Saturday.

Stamps: Sending Sunshine Gina K.
c/s: Certainly Celery, Lovely Lavendar
purple polka dot ribbon, sponges, copics

MTSC68 Sympathy

A friend of mine called me today... she's a hospice nurse & one of her patients died overnight. She needed a sympathy card & couldn't find one to meet her requirements at the gold crown store she was standing in. She wanted a green & purple polka dot card with yellow accents & purple violets. Could I create something to fit the bill? Since I just *love* purple, I wasn't sure that I would have any purple polka dot paper. I thought I was going to have to make my own, but I did find this little scrap of Almost Amethyst dp.

I made this to follow Mercy's Tuesday Sketch

Stamps: Violet Cupcake Lockart
C/S: Almost Amethyst, New Leaf, white
DP: Almost Amethyst
New Leaf ribbon, copics, lemon pearls, circle nestabilities
